Basket Brook Farmhouse
Quaint and Cosy
The recently rescued and restored Basket Brook Farmhouse was originally built in 1850. It is newly finished in light hardwoods with a white interior. It is decorated simply and modestly with furnishings relating to the period in which it was built.
The farmhouse is light and airy against a rich, green backdrop of the walls of surrounding valley, viewed from large picture windows in the living room and kitchen.
The scenes are of the lush grounds and wooded hills of the Catskills, all situated on Basket Brook in Rock Valley.
Surrounding brooks, streams and creeks are tributaries to the Delaware River, located only a short distance further down the valley.
